The SAA mathletes team participated in the city MATHCOUNTS competition held at St. Mary’s University in February. Competing against 16 other schools with more than 150 competitors, the 8th grade team managed to overcome all but one group at the contest to secure the 2nd Place trophy. In March, two Academy students, William Bankler (7th grade) and William Riggs (8th grade), will advance to the State contest in Austin.
San Antonio Academy has officially been competing for 14 years at MATHCOUNTS competitions, resulting in a 1st Place and several 2nd and 3rd Place trophies over the course of our participation.
